Dans le cas des ouvrages de g\u00e9nie civil, la m\u00e9thodologie reste la m\u00eame, mais les appareils et les param\u00e8tres doivent \u00eatre ajust\u00e9s pour permettre une plus grande r\u00e9solution et pr\u00e9cision \u00e0 des profondeurs plus faibles que pour la recherche d'hydrocarbures.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>La sismique r\u00e9flexion utilise la r\u00e9flexion des ondes sur les interfaces entre plusieurs niveaux g\u00e9ologiques. La sismique r\u00e9flexion peut \u00eatre monotrace ou multitrace. Dans ce dernier cas, en plus d'augmenter le rapport signal sur bruit, il est possible de calculer les vitesses des milieux travers\u00e9s. Cette information permet ensuite de convertir les donn\u00e9es en profondeur.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>La m\u00e9thode de sismique r\u00e9flexion consiste \u00e0 induire une onde sismique dans le sol\u00a0puis enregistrer les ondes qui sont r\u00e9fl\u00e9chies par les diverses interfaces entre les horizons se trouvant sous la zone \u00e9tudi\u00e9e.
