Ground penetrating radar (GPR) or georadar is a technique based on the use of focused radar energy which penetrates the ground and is reflected back by any interfaces encountered. Recent technological advances have led to much more compact and better quality systems which can be used by a single operator for detailed examination of the subsurface.
